As you might know, Megaupload - the largest file-sharing service was shut down by FBI because of anti-privacy law. After that, Filesonic and Fileserve turned off their file sharing function, and other file hosting websites started to delete violated files. I'm not sure about Mediafire, but it's seem ok now, so I will keep using their service and I will try to find an alternative to MU, maybe one site from China (like u115, DBank,...) For now, I think you should download what you need (esp. Album or MV), because MF can be shut down anytime soon and it's really hard to re-upload everything in a short time :( Let's hope for the best!
Updated: From now on I will use Hulkshare as a replacement for MU, I think HS is the most easy-to-download hosting right now, compared to other sites. With unlimited download, no speed limit, no waiting time and no captcha. So it's quite similar to Mediafire. I'm not sure how long the files are stored, but it's the best choice I have right now. FYI, I still use Mediafire.
